Luther or Stevie?
Eric Roberson or Dwele?
Usher or John Legend? (I know..but women have voice on this one!)

There has been a lot of debate over who the top male soul singers are in the last few years.

We want your opinion. Launch the post by clicking the Battle Royal photo above .Then go down and review the list. For every number there are two singers listed.

You pick one of the two matched up who you think is the better female artist! [NOTE: YOU MUST BE A FORUM MEMBER TO PLAY].
Battle Royal Round 1 deadline: June 12, 2006

The FEMALE SOUL SINGER battle has been vicious, to say the least. Patti LaBelle beat out Aretha in round 1. Mary J. stomped Mariah vocals into the concrete. And let's just say...Robert Flack just barely got to the next round over Diana Ross.

So...Round 2 for the female soul singers is brewing. get in there while the battling's good. Click on the pick above to pick the winner for some of these battles: Patti vs. Chaka, Mary J vs. Whitney, Jill Scott vs. Angie Stone??? [NOTE: YOU MUST BE A FORUM MEMBER TO PLAY]. Joi:
Tennessee Slim Is The Bomb!

If her last album was Star Kitty's Revenge, then this is her redemption. On Tennessee Slim Is The Bomb, Joi sings like she loves herself so thoroughly that, if she transformed into a feline, she would lick herself silly. Narrated by "Uncle" George Clinton, who offers poetic relationship wisdom between each track, this is a delicious declaration of unwavering feminine funk.

Guided by Dr. Funkenstein, Joi personifies music and love on the low-slung "I'm So Famous." She continues to reach new heights on the spiritually rich "Co-Stars," "That's the Truth," and "Another Rocket," where she scrapes the sky with the lyrics, "Sugar, you oughtta know by now that I just wanna fly to the moon / And even if you won't take me, I know there'll be another rocket comin' by soon."

While much of the music embodies her name, Joi unveils heartache over ex-husband Big Gipp on "Gravity": "The rap game stole my man from me... I'll always love him, even though he forgot how to." This testament to self-love completely captures joy and pain, sunshine and rain, and confirms this kitty doesn't merely meow, she roars. While much of the music embodies her name, Joi unveils heartache over ex-husband Big Gipp on "Gravity": "The rap game stole my man from me...
